Spicy Pear & Blue Cheese Tart

Ingredients:
  • 2 pears
  • Approximately 300g puff pastry
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • A sprinkle of love
  • Pepper
  • 150g blue cheese
  • A handful of arugula for garnish
  • 1 egg
  • A bit of milk
  • A pinch of Fiery Berry

 

Instructions:

  1. Start by rolling out the puff pastry to about 3mm thickness and cut it into your desired shape. Brush the puff pastry with a mixture of egg and milk.
  2. Peel the pears, slice them into approximately 1cm thick slices, and remove the core.
  3. Add some oil to a pan and heat it. When the pan is ready, add the pear slices. Once the pears have browned on one side, flip them and add the butter and honey. Be careful not to let the honey burn. When the pears have a golden sear, remove them and place them on a paper towel. Season them with chili salt and pepper. Once they cool down, arrange them on your prepared pastry.
  4. Sprinkle half of the blue cheese over the pears and bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 20-25 minutes.
  5. After baking, let it cool down a bit, then sprinkle some granola on top. Finally, add a pinch of Fiery Berry for that extra kick.
