Semi-Homemade Tortilla Chips

Semi-Homemade Tortilla Chips

    • 1 pack of corn tortillas (about 8 pieces)
    • 1 liter of your favorite flavored oil (let your taste buds do the choosing!)
    • some Chili salt (a Sprinkle of Love)

1. Cut those tortillas in half, then split 'em into thirds. We're talking about creating those perfec chip-sized triangles, so get those slicing skills ready!

2. Pour that oil into a saucepan and crank up the heat until it hits around 180 degrees Celsius.

3. We want it hot, but not burn-the-house-down hot, okay?
Once that oil is sizzling like a summer day, gently slide in a handful of those tortilla triangles. Don't just dump 'em in, we want each chip to have its moment in the spotlight!

4. Now, here's the secret sauce: keep stirring those chips in the pan. We don't want one side feeling left out, do we? Stir, stir, stir, until they're all golden brown and crispy.

5. When they're looking like they've just come back from a tropical vacation, rescue them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to soak up any excess oil.

6. Then, sprinkle 'em with that chili salt. And remember, folks, sprinkle it with love! That oil's gonna help that salt stick like glue, making each bite taste like a flavor explosion!

7. Repeat the process with the rest of your tortilla triangles until you've got a mountain of crunchy, chili-spiced goodness ready to devour.
